Welcome to the Arizona State University Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research (ASU STIR) graphic art human trafficking prevention stories.
This series was created to engage youth who enjoy graphic novels and cartoons. Using short graphic art stories as human trafficking prevention tools is an innovative approach. These stories were authored by ASU STIR staff researcher, Byeol Park, and ASU STIR Director, Dr. Dominique Roe-Sepowitz. Each story was reviewed by topic experts and numerous survivor leader advisors.
The incredibly talented artist James Lopez, an award-winning filmmaker and former Disney animator, worked closely with the ASU STIR team to develop a deep understanding of human trafficking. James created illustrations based on scripts for the following stories:
